I am a Missouri native from Springfield. I entered into a personal relationship with Jesus as a freshman in college in 1981. I entered full time ministry in 1990. I had the privilege of being Co-Pastor with Dr. Gerald Davidson here at FBC Arnold from April, 2005 until June, 2006. I became the Senior Pastor on June 4, 2006. It is a wonderful blessing to know Jesus and to serve Him as Pastor in such a great church. As Pastor, I have the focus of preaching, leading, shepherding and vision casting. I am thankful for my wife Donna and our son and daughter. The great joy of life is to know Jesus and to make Him known. You are always welcome at FBC Arnold.

At the age of seven, I accepted Christ as my Savior. He has been my strength throughout my life. God has given Paul and me three wonderful children and four grandchildren. After retiring in 2003 from a career of teaching junior high students, I embarked on a second career here at FBCA as a Ministry Assistant in the Family Life Center and in March, 2006, was moved to Ministry Assistant for Pastor Kenny. God has shown me several times in this position that it is not just a job but truly a position to reach out to people.

Brad East - Senior Associate Pastor


I came to know Christ as a freshman in college in 1973. I entered into fulltime Christian ministry in 1978. I have been on the FBC Arnold staff since November of ’97. I have functioned in a number of ministry roles over the years and currently serve as the staff and business administrator. As senior associate pastor, I also preach in the absence of our senior pastor, Kenny Qualls and provide overall leadership for our 3500+ member Sunday Morning Bible Fellowships. I count it a joy to serve Jesus through the local church and I would count it a privilege to meet you as the Lord leads.

I became a follower of Jesus in August of 1986 at the age of 24. Shortly after; God began to make clear to me a calling to the Gospel Ministry. I had the privilledge of coming to First Baptist Arnold as your Pastor of Outreach in February 2007. I have the incredible blessing of leading in the areas of Evangelism and Missions. We pray our church can equip believers through “conference training “ and “field training”, to effectively reach people with the Greatest Story Ever Told…JESUS! My family and I thank God for allowing me to be one of your Pastors.

I grew up in church, but it wasn’t until I was 9 or 10 years old that God’s Spirit convicted me of my sins and Jesus saved me. I begin the wonderful and awesome journey of being the Children’s Pastor at FBCA in the fall of 1994. In 2003, the Lord directed my paths to cross paths with a beautiful Christian lady named Shawne and in the spring of 2005 she became my wife, my soul mate, and helpmate. I am a korean War Vet. and a bi-vocational pastor for 43 years. in 1995, at the age of 62, I retired from the Department of Revenue, and in 1998 was called to pastor senior adults at First Baptist Church Arnold. Our mission is to lead people to a saving faith in Jesus Christ and to assist our Super Saints in finishing the race well.

As Missions Associate my call is to assist Mission Pastor, Bob Caldwell, in leading First Baptist Church Arnold in taking the Gospel “Across the Street and Around the World”. My primary responsibilities are to assist in the promotion, arranging and, as needed, leading short-term mission trips.

I am a Missouri native growing up in Dexter, where I accepted Jesus as my savior at the age of 8. It was at the age of 16 that the Lord called me into full-time ministry. I attended Southwest Baptist University where I received my Bachelors of Music. I also met and married my wife, Janet during this time and the Lord has since blessed us with three amazing children; Jackson, Davis and Mabree. After college, the Lord called me to Second Baptist in Springfield, MO where I served as the Worship Associate for 3 years. A short time after Second, He led me back home to First Baptist Dexter where I served as Worship Pastor for 6 years before being called to Arnold. Worship has always been a passion of mine and I pray that God continues to use the Worship Ministry of First Baptist Arnold to spread His glory around the world!

I accepted Jesus as my Savior at the age of 9 years old and have attended this church since I was 7 years old. I was brought on staff as a part-time music associate in January 1994 and since then have moved into a full-time position as Worship Associate/Events Coordinator. At the present time I direct our Celebration Orchestra as well as our Super Senior Singers (Senior Adult Choir). I also schedule and help plan special music and our Wednesday evening prayer service. During Easter and Christmas I serve as the Production Coordinator for drama events. I am very blessed to have some very wonderful people who work alongside me to see God’s work go forward. It is my prayer that God be glorified in everything we do and that you will want to be a part of this exciting ministry.

I grew up in the Arnold area and have been a member of FBCA for nearly twenty years. I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior when I was 15 and God has been working in my life ever since. I attended Southwest Baptist University and received my degree in Psychology. I also met and married my beautiful wife, Charity during that time. After college, God led us back to St. Louis where we both received a Master’s in Counseling from Missouri Baptist University. While we were in grad school, God opened the door here at church for me to be the interim worship leader in our 10:45 service. Through much prayer and seeking, I realized God was calling me into ministry, specifically in the area of music. God then opened another door and on January 2, 2008, I was hired as a full-time Worship Associate. Some of the areas I am responsible for are being involved in all elements of our 10:45 service, overseeing our Metro South School of Music, working with our creative team and mentoring our youth band. I am passionate about leading worship and being used for God’s glory and I pray that I always keep my focus on doing everything for His renown.

After 21 years in the corporate world, God called me to FBCA in May of 1988 as Administrative Assistant for the Worship Ministries. In my position, I mainly assist the Celebration Choir, but I also have the privilege of working with almost everyone in the church through our Easter Pageant ticket distribution and various events. I am truly blessed to work here with people who love the Lord.

I am a St. Louis Native and lived many of my childhood years right here in Jefferson County. I returned in August of 2005 to follow my call to fulltime ministry as the Media Minister here at FBC Arnold. As the Media Minister, my duties include supporting all of the technical production needs church wide including audio, video, presentation, and lighting systems. It is a Joy to use media and technology to assist in bringing the lost to Christ and assist in discipleship of believers.

I have been attending First Baptist Church of Arnold since my early childhood. I was fortunate to have been raised in a Godly, loving home. I joined the staff on April 10th, 2006 as the media associate. I am primarily in charge of editing the videos that we use in our Sunday morning services as well as our Synergy Student services. I also assist Brian Bird in anyway that I am needed.

SPORTS ADMINISTRATION
I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior when I was 17 years old and he has been my source of strength and grace throughout these years. My husband Jerry and I have been attending here for 22 years and I have been working here for 9. We have been blessed with 5 children and 8 beautiful grandchildren. There have been many times that God has shown me that this position as a Sports Administrator is not a job but a ministry. I came to work at the Family Life Center in 2006, serving as the FLC Secretary. My position allows me to have a variety of duties, including scheduling of our wonderful volunteers (hint, hint), scheduling events in the FLC, maintaining records of our guests, and loving people. The Lord Jesus changed my life and became my personal Savior when I was 11 years old. I have always enjoyed serving Him and His Church. In March of 2003, I was happy to be added to the FBCA staff as the Food Service Coordinator. I am pleased to direct and serve with a wonderful volunteer staff .for church-wide events. Wednesday Evening Fellowship Dinners, Sunday Evening Church-wide Fellowships, New Member Luncheons, Sunday Morning Continental Breakfast, Funeral Dinners and VBS are among the major events the Food Service Ministry serves at FBCA.
